AARCS and Calgary Food Bank Donation Bins are at the Community Centre until Dec. 16

Two donation bins have been placed in front lobby for people to drop off donations. The volleyball league has also setup online links if you prefer to make a cash donation.

The reality is that for many folks struggling in our ward, there is just not enough money coming in to cover their needs, resulting in food insecurity and scarcity. To see the calculations, see the CFB Ward 14 Profile.

Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS)

In Alberta, thousands of dogs and cats are homeless, abandoned, abused or living in horrendous conditions. AARCS works closely with rural and First Nations communities where there are limited to no animal services. Over 4,000 animals come through AARCS programs each year alone! AARCS cares for them by providing medical care, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, loving foster homes and then finding their forever families. In addition, AARCS also has assistance programs such as Spay/Neuter, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) for Cats, a Pet Food Bank and Emergency Medical Assistance.
